FAMA
A live exhibition – 2013 production
"Offer eternal life, and death will become precious." With the FAMA project, I ask myself once again the same questions : how can we build differently, how do we write a story that makes sense, how do we chart life paths? FAMA is an interdisciplinary project, a live exhibition, developing a choreographic process open to other languages and artforms : sound, visual art, multimedia.
Within the three weeks of the FAMA exhibition, the visitor/spectator is invited to enter a scenographic installation, a space of sensitive immersion, a form dedicated to performance where different tales and entities crisscross, where rumour is spread, reputation is built and destroyed, myth is established and demolished...
This new work questions our collective and social imagination, the status of the stranger and our relation to strangers, our fears and dreams, our desire to be free, our connection to the world, our personal mythology and collective fictions. How can certain lives seem more vulnerable than others, how can hospitality become a creative gesture, how do we make physical brotherhood apparent and let the stranger inside of us speak up?
With FAMA, LA ZOUZE tackles a new issue, opening a new line of thought for its production, focusing on the circulation between local and global contexts.
